“Hi Jill,
I was listening to your 11/11 event and you were talking about these kids who are not “normal” by our current societal standards. I have one of those kids. When someone told me at the age of four that my beautiful, perfect baby was not “normal” I think I cried on and off for about a year. It is truly awful to have someone tell you that, no matter how nice or helpful they are. However, this child had night terrors, saw things in his room, had body pains, was and still is sensitive to noise, textures, light, screamed for periods of time for no reason… I did everything in my power to get him the therapies and treatments I could so that he could be happy. I just wanted him to be happy. Isn’t that what everyone wants for her child?
This child has been my best teacher. I would not be where I am today without him. He made me question what normal really is. I realized that normal is overrated. What normal person has made an incredible invention, story, movie or piece of music? No solution is possible within the box. We have had a difficult road but now I see him and I see his joy and beauty and I am so grateful for him.
He is “lucky” because he was able to slowly emerge from his cocoon and become a happy, well-adjusted teenager (as much as that is possible for a teenager!) He still hears things I don’t, I swear that kid hears the electricity moving through the wires in the walls! I think what was and is the key is the heart-centered consciousness. From there, I find calm answers to his “troubles.” From there, I allow him to be himself as much as possible. From there, I advise him not to worry about what everyone else is doing or if they are better, smarter, did it earlier than him. He is always in the perfect place for him and things always come along eventually in their own way for him. And most importantly, never let anyone tell you that you can’t do something you want to do. There are many paths to our destinations. No need to let anyone ever make you limited in any way.

I was unable to attend Jill Renee’s November 11th workshop. Was it recorded, so I can view the presentation later? Will Jill be presenting another workshop some other time??
